It came with the air compressor in the back but didn’t have the air hose. Looked like a standard 1/4 inch nipple so I figured I’d just use the hose from my compact compressor I keep in the garage. Yesterday when I went to test it the nipple looks like a 1/4 inch but you can’t press the quick connect on far enough to catch. There is some kind of rubber bushing flush with the case. Is there some kind of custom quick connect used here? Or is that rubber bushing not supposed to be there?
I’ve attached some pics to help clarify. This shows the end fitting looks just alike If you compare the fitting in the first photo you see it has that 1/2 inch or so where the quick coupler would slide over. Not so on this fitting.
I found a box under the rear cover of my cargo area with the air compressor hose however I don't have the factory air compressor. So, nosing around Lucky 8's website, I saw their strut tower air compressor kit... I open the hood and there it is installed and tucked nicely away - apparently the prior owner added the kit, and I had no clue. A pleasant surprise to say the least. I also have the Lucky 8 rock sliders, giant upper cargo light and rear door table. Wonder if I found everything?
