Finally found something I don't like...the spring clips that secure the rear floor
First of all, the storage bin under the rear floor is great. I know this is so minor, but since I picked up my new Defender I've been under there a few times adding items. (Flashlight, snow brush, XP-10, tow strap, etc.) Is it operator error or does it take anyone else a few tries to get the spring clips into the holes to secure the floor?
You have to kind of do it an angle. Take the piece and kind of put a slight bend in it at the middle, making like a ^. Then they just pop right in. That has been my experience.
Thank you for the reply. If anyone from JLR reads this forum for feedback from owners and future improvements, here is mine regarding the rear floor. Add a small latch that sits flat and has a pull-up handle. Add a short rope and plastic hook to the bottom that can attach to a rear headrest post to keep the floor open. I guess I'm spoiled by the rear floor in our Honda Passport:
JLR - you pioneered terrain response in the 2005 LR3. Since then nearly every other manufacturer has copied it and offers some type of adjustable traction settings for variable conditions. The Passport has 4 traction settings. You are more than entitled to copy Honda's rear floor system.
also, a better organizer would be appreciated. Way too much wasted space filled with styrofoam. They gave me this nice sun shade, that doesn't fit in the organizer.

I am averaging 2.5 attempts to get the darn things to engage properly each time. Yes, it is a FLAW -- no question.
I will, on some point of time, remove them entirely and do something different. Number six in queue for the Defender personal projects.
