Default First software glitch in a while…

My backup camera stoped working mid back up and pressing the camera button simply said “cameras unavailable”. After turning the vehicle off and back on everything was okay. Any thoughts? That was the first issue I’ve had in a month or so after dealing with Spotify and Weather showing up when they wanted to. Otherwise, the Defender has been running great. 2020 Defender.

Let's see to date we've had:

* Check Engine Light - early on - for a few ignition cycles after an update
* Inability to update a couple of times
* Emergency Brake Assist Unavailable (or something like that) warning a couple of times
* Frozen screen once - at the driver ID/log in point
* Inability to change driver ID

I think that's a comprehensive list of glitches in the first 5 months, but I might have forgotten something (or she didn't mention something as she drives is 9 times out of 10).

I mean, this sounds like something that has happened in every car I've owned since 2010 across many manufacturers.... a one-off glitch like this is just that... I wouldn't worry if it happens once in a blue moon. I certainly wouldn't bother bringing it in for service -- the time alone spent on your part for them to just shrug shoulders isn't worth it!

On a new Defender, its a minor glitch. On a 2013 LR4 it means that the gasket on the tailgate panel has been leaking and the rearview camera is now sitting under water. Then you pay $1000 for a new camera, new camera wiring harness, new gasket and labor to replace it all.
