Hi turf63 - I’m looking at the long front runner as you’ve installed. Have you experienced any issues with radio or sat nag reception? Figuring there must be a reason why JLR have a cutout on the factory rack 🤔

 

A well known solution for bolts that have too much blue loctite like with our roof rails, is to hold a hot solder tip or wood burning tip to the bolt head for a half minute to a minute or until you can see any exposed loctite liquify, and then immediately try to loosen the bolt. Once you have a spinner of course you’re doomed, so this is worth a try first. I’m installing a voyager rack this week and will try this along with some voodoo chants.

 

I have a front runner and it sits right over the wing. No issues what so ever with the Front runner.

 

no Issues with the radio. When i load the rack i try not to put big boxes or bags over top of the sat radio shark fin, but the rack itself causes no issues. I had that concern before buying too. But i asked front runner and they said they tested it a bunch. My experience has been no problem thus far.
