New horizontal crack in the upper-middle going through the sensor “pod”. Vehicle parked in hot sun. Around 32” long (for now).
So where do I pickup my free “Defender Cracked Windshield Club” T-Shirt?

Good question!

Has anyone had repeat cracks? As in, after the windshield has been replace, it cracked again spontaneously? Mine was replace about 3k ago, so I wanted to know if this is something that might happen again... though I'm not sure what the original cause was.

Yep. Both seemed thermal to me. Snowy night with windshield heater on - crack near the top without impact or even other cars nearby. Replaced. Sitting in the desert sun then using the windshield wiper fluid to clear the dust? Crack. No impact.

I was just quoted 5d for a replacement (heater/solar attenuating).

May not be but this looks like a rock strike. For the record my windshield took a rock strike. It didn’t sound like one to cause a run but it did.
