Its certainly not whisper quiet. It comes with a deflector under it. that they say can be optimized with some tweaking of a gap in the middle of it. So i'm going to tweak that today before a trip this afternoon and see if it's any improved. By no means deafening, but my wife is going to want it quieter

Thanks. Will be interested to see if that helps. No way I’m doing the full fairing thing again, but don’t want a racket up there either.

Does the Front Runner Slimline II effect the rear view camera mounted on the roof at all?

I am looking at this rack. do you still like it? also, does it interfere at all with your camera/antenna? and it looks like you have the sunroof to, does it interfere with that at all?

thanks

It's finally back in stock...just ordered the rack for OEM rails. Really excited to get it mounted up!

For folks with the pano sunroof, does it limit your ability to open the sunroof? Also how easy are these to get on/off if one only wanted to keep it on during travelling/touring/offroad ... but put it away while using the car as a daily driver?

it doesn’t affect the operation of the pano roof unless you have a wind fairing or the wind deflector installed. you can move around or raise the rack so there is no issues

the oem rail Front Runner rack is a little easier to install and technically could be taken off of your not using it. took me about 2 hours to install it myself. the rack is prob 60-70 lbs

but it’s not intended to be taken on and off.

i have had mine on for almost 9 months. The rack causes wind noise. If you drive over 70 mph you will hear it and it’s pretty loud. i have the full wind fairing and it didn’t do much

beside the look of it and the occasion use of it i don’t believe it’s worth it to be on the car all the time. prob only mounted something on it less than a handful of times over the 9 months

I leave mine on all the time loaded with my Overland Pros Anza 2000 roof top tent and Wraptor 4k 270 degree awning. The tent is large and takes up most of the space, but I can still squeeze in some Jerry cans behind it. I also have the maxtrax installed and it just clears the rear of the truck.

Is that the full size front runner, or the OEM rail front runner?
