So how did you get it to STAY there long enough to take a picture?!?! A slight gust of wind and it falls from that position. #PoorDesign IMHO

It's bad. Has all the earmarks of some Tata execs son in law who bought a 3D print shop in New Delhi.

Hmmm... Neve had a problem with the design in the Defender or the Velar. Has never fallen out. I can only assume they didn't make it idiot proof!

I have it also in my 2013 RRS L320. That is how you place the cap in all LR.

Hey it's plastic and isn't going to cause any damage anyway. I agree though that it should stay mounted even if an angel whispers across the filing station!

Now if there was a washer option that could clear out all the dust that accumulates in the filler area I'd option that next time. I travel a lot of dusty forest roads and the fuel filler area always seems to dust up.

It was inside the garage, safe from the slightest wind gust.

Nope...2013 design is different. Much taller lip that securely holds the 2013 cap. Defender lip is far too short and the cap easily falls right off.
