Default Getting your heated windshield to work with app

I have been searching for the thread, but people were asking why the heated windshield did not work with the app about a month ago. I have had no issues and assumed because I pressed the button to turn the windshield on that anytime I the windshield need to be heated it would work. Well, I found out I was wrong and that there is a setting buried in the stupidest location you could ask for, The APP section of settings on PIVI Pro.

If you go into settings and then click app section. Then click climate and it will bring you to a page that allows you to have the heated windshield and rear windshield turn on automatically. There you have it, you can have your rear and front windows defrost automatically when you turn on the car via the app.

It's in the climate APP of the pivi pro, not in the Land Rover Remote app on your phone. Took me a while to find it too!

As stated in another thread this setting does not work reliably. I have both the front and rear set to go on automatically when starting, Sometimes the front doesn't turn on at all and the rear does. Sometimes neither one turns on. So yea, it's a good 'find' it's just too bad it doesn't work so well. Also keep in mind the heated screen just shuts itself off anyway after a couple of minutes. Once you turn it on it turns off automatically. It doesn't 'cycle' itself back on either while you're out driving around in bad weather for example, which is IMO how it should behave, it just shuts off until you turn it back on (what amounts to repeatedly) regardless of what the weather is like. When it is on it does work well though, I have no complaints as far as that goes.
