hangers/hooks rear section 2023 defender
#11
Here’s the snapshots from the install this evening. The parts came from PowerFulUK and I added the black
.
I was looking for something to give a bit more hanging space for suits/dresses as we have a 90th BDay event on the next 3wk trip! Gotta have the nice duds for the big event :-D This solution appears solid and will do the job. Here’s a breakdown of the shots:
1. Shows standard parts from PowerFulUK and the added black rings from Amazon
2. Easy install and aesthetically I prefer the black rings vs polished (loading should NOT be an issue :-D LOL)
3. Expected use case: Existing factory hook point is fine for short trips to dinner, dry cleaning pickup, etc.
4. Both sides installed. Typically there’s a fridge image right when camping or long travel trips. The new loops have space for larger suit hangers, more hangers than factory, and are generally more secure than factory
Best use is likely to fold down rear seats in the 110 and use the grab handles to hang long garments (aka dresses or gowns). However, the new loops are usable with the seats in the upright position our folded down. The install is obviously dead simple and well shown by Simon in the PUK video.
Sidebar: the blue first aid kit bag is strapped to an Interior Side Molle Plate by PowerFulUK (one on each side that fills the window void virtually spot on. Those molle plates are going to prove to be very useful! The plates improve accessibility to items always in the rig for regular travel, freeing up primary cargo area for trip particulars.
Hope it helps

hang clothes
Hey there... anyone know or have ideas on where to hang clothes and such in rear section of the 23 defender? There are no hooks or handles which is odd. i know of click and go hangers on the rear of the headrest, just wondering if anyone out there has dealt with this small but irritating issue. i noticed where there would normally be a hanger hook on either side is a little swing flap that opens with a hole, not sure what that is for. any insights would be appreciated and helpful
