In my case:
Pivi > Apps > Climate Auto R and F were OFF
I've enabled Auto Front to ON and will test on our next cold and frosty day when I'm parked outside

That's a good catch - Thanks!

I've had the auto front/rear heated windshields activated since I took delivery and I don't recall it ever heating the windshield after a remote start.

Yes, very obscure location for the setting. I don't think of climate as an app.

Hmm, multiple frosty (and a few snowy) days confirm it works for me, although not from the start of ownership had to discover it some other way and turn setting on. Funny thing is I don't have automatic blower setting that Huc has under that screen. Has to be set manually on the main climate screen. JLR is inconsistent at best (still love the Defender though)

Mine only kicks on once I press the brake after using the remote start. I've never had a clear screen when I walk out to my car after being started 20 minutes prior, but after I press the brake it functions as designed and is clear within a couple of minutes.

At least with LR, you know when the heated steering wheel is activated. With BMW, they don't bother to illuminate the steering wheel button. I also found with BMW the auto settings seem to reset themselves. Love having heated armrests and center console, though. Would love that in the Defender.

Strange, mines in various stages of melt depending on how long it takes for me to get out to it.
