Default This is what I use.

I got the hitch at Northern Tool and it’s been working great. I did have to mount the spare tire on the roof rack as it still didn’t give me enough space to get to my dogs for easy getting in and out. Just move the battery box over a few inches and have a plate installed. Works great so far.

Default Tire moved to roof rack to make opening back door much easier

This is the defender in ready to go state but it is not running so it is sitting low in the back as soon as it starts up it will level out with the air suspension.

Very nice roof rack set up. I'm shopping now.

I have not had any problems with my setup in over 8000 miles of towing.

If I have to do it again I would get the front runner roof rack as everything would just work instead of having to find T bolts at $8 a piece.
