Default How do I get the Brake hold feature to stay turned off?

I am still learning and trying to familiarize myself with my new Defender.
‘I never had a vehicle with this brake hold function.
‘I was finding it to be a little bit on the annoying side right away, I had thought I had found the feature and turned it off.
‘I drove the new Defender on about a 5 hour trip today. Seems it came back on multiple times on my trip seemingly randomly.

Curios if there is way to simply shut that brake hold feature off entirely.

With the GAP tool:
MultiCAN-711 Auto Hold
Current: HVH Enabled
New: HVH Disabled

I think it can be disabled from the settings button on the bottom right corner... brings up a screen that gives an option of turning off the center screen and a couple of other choices + "brake hold."

I took mine through a car wash and had to go through a series of steps with the transmission lever and brake to get it to turn off, then discovered this series of buttons. Just as with my Rivian, it took a learning curve under pressure to figure out.

Turning it off via the settings menu isn’t permanent, it comes back every start cycle. And even with it off, there’s “demand hold” which activates brake hold with an extra jab on the brake pedal.
I was mistaken.

Mine stays off through after toggling in the Quick Settings menu, but can still be triggered as pjeski said with a hard jab/push of the brake pedal while stopped.

You are correct, I was remembering wrong. I've had mine disabled for so long I couldn't remember. But the setting I posted above does disable demand hold as well. Whoever thought demand hold was a good idea probably rides a bus to work.

That’s interesting. My setting only toggles auto on/off. I can always toggle demand hold. I’ll have to look at it more carefully

If I understand you correctly, that's correct. If you switch off brake hold in the settings menu, demand hold still works. The GAP ccf setting I posted above, MultiCAN-711 Auto Hold, disables both completely and the settings menu choice disappears.

Best I could tell on yesterdays road trip, this is what was happening.

The longer I would set at a stop light the more likely hood that I would be modulating the brake pressure being applied by my foot while setting there and apparently I was triggering that demand hold.

I did order a GAP tool Saturday for other stuff like shutting off start stop, and was hoping I could open my exhaust valves with it.
‘Hopefully I can also use it to shut off this hold deal entirely.
