My thoughts for whatever they are worth, I love the rear door. Maybe it just takes some getting used to.

When I went from my 98 Discovery (which I still have) to an LR3 (which I don't still have unfortunately) I really missed the swinging rear door. I couldn't be happier to have it back. Yeah there is no tailgate to sit on, but from a function standpoint, I really prefer it.
