Default How long does this usally take?

My defender arrived at the dealer today but won't be available for pickup until the dealership inspects and gets the vehicle ready etc. How many days does this usually take?

my guess is it varies by dealership and how busy they are. last year my dealer did their prep for me the same day the vehicle arrived (showed up first thing in AM and was ready for pickup EOD, even though i didn't show up until the next AM). i'd expect anywhere from a few hours to a few days depending on their staffing and what else they've got going on. also depends on what added options were installed at the port vs. what needs to be done at dealership. good luck. it'll be soon!

I echo what @sj24k said. Mine came in the morning and I picked it up that evening. I didn't need anything installed at the dealer though.

I’d say 0-3 days is the range I would expect, with 3 being pretty unlikely imo. The process shouldn’t take more than a half day but it depends on how busy they are

As others have said and it is dependent on how many new cars they received. It was 3 days for me.

Ah, I remember this feeling! I was told the same thing but I still went every day to look at it before it was ready! Mine came at night on Saturday and I picked it up Monday around 3. It's a fun process, enjoy it!

Hah!
My Defender was ready in a matter of hours, picked it up on Oct 31st, they wanted the sale in October.
My wife's F-Pace was a week, picked it up on Oct 16th.
I think it's a matter of what time of the month it is and also workload.

Arrived on a Thursday. I picked it up the next morning. I don't think the dealer does much of anything. Checks the battery has charge. That's it as far as I can tell.

I didn't have them install anything of course.

Here’s the PDI checklists showing whats done pre-collection. Here in the UK our car was 2 days from arriving on the transporter to driving away

Won't your sales person just tell you when it will be ready?
