Is full lock (pressing key fob twice) the best way to leave the car if you won't be driving it for a couple weeks?

Freaking out because my 2021 has just started doing this. Oddly the car just came from LR service earlier today so I'm suspecting a software update has broken something. Literally scared to go to sleep because of previous owner reporting a fire.

The only way I could get mine to stop doing it was to open the hood and leave it opened. Mind you the car had been sitting in the driveway on a cool cloudy evening for at least two hours (nothing near hot today).

Will see if it makes it though the night. LR road side has been called, but since it is sitting in my driveway I'm not expecting them to run out here tonight.

Tried closing the hood (bonnet) and sure enough the radiator kicked right back in at full blast five minute later. Car is ice cold, so no idea why it is running right now. Leaving the vehicle unlocked and hood open until LR can come get it.

Default I had the same

You need to watch out and double check the eletrical circuit at LR. When it's powered off and locked and fan is running at some point something will overheat and it may lead to fire. I had exactly same situation (middle of the night, powered off, fan full speed, car closed -> fire). It's extremely serious. Until it's checked - Don't park in garage or anywhere close.

Woke up in the middle of the night to the fans just blasting away. Turning the vehicle on stopped them. Happened two nights in a row and have noticed it once when it was parked in the garage as well when I went out and could hear them running.

Anyone else ever notice that and/or happen to know why it would be doing that? I know radiator fans can fire up at odd times but have never had a vehicle where the interior ones will do so...

Also, when we were car camping, we were woken up a couple times by notifications about the battery getting low and to run the vehicle to sort that out. Didn't have anything running in the vehicle at that point so i'm at a loss of what could have been draining the battery...
