Default Infotainment

Just got my new 2025 Defender. Loving it, however, the infotainment system is constantly giving me problems. Often times the Sirius doesn't come on for a few minutes after driving, sometime it just spins and spins like an old computer, it wont let you select a media source, or just freezes up. Been to the dealer twice, and they couldn't replicate it, so no fix. Anyone have any experience with this issue?

Have you tried resetting it. With the car in park, press volume button in for about 10 seconds, and it will reset.

I agree, a reset would be my first attempt at troubleshooting. You need to hold the info screen power button for 20secs and it will reset.

If the reset doesn't resolve your issue, take it to the dealer as it may be some software update they may have not done prior to delivering your Defender. Let us know what happens and good luck.

Thank you, it has been reset, and the Dealer updated the software. Still having the same issue, and the Dealer doesn't know what to do next. i guess i have to wait for it to fail.

Are you listening to satellite stations or streaming stations on Sirius/XM? If you’re listening to one of the streaming stations it can take a minute or so as the car has to establish an internet connection before it can connect to Sirius/XM.

So...I had an issue in my 2025 Defender...PIVI Pro went full on stupid...I tried holding down the volume button, no joy...the reset for PIVI Pro is the steering wheel phone button -> Works like new now.

Similarly, the CarPlay or Bluetooth software is glitchy. We've had a 2025.5 now for 3 weeks. Certain spots where cell range is limited, I'm used to the CarPlay library not immediately loading in our other cars, but never does it connect and then drop in certain "dead spots." It sounds like it's trying to tune in a radio station, chopping in and out, eventually providing a message there's no service. From there it either reconnects on its own, or you have to select your phone as a source for audio. If Car Play is now available, it reloads, otherwise it runs just through the phone. We stream only from Youtube Music or the Apple podcast app. Disappointing as it doesn't happen in our BMW or Volvo, nor do I remember an issue with our Discovery. Living in the mountains, cell service is poor (one bar in our neighborhood at most), but there is definitely something wrong with the Defender's software to behave like it does. Hopefully an update eventually fixes this.
