Default Insulation coming out from driver's footwell?

I happened to be cleaning my floor mats and saw some insulation looking material poking out from the driver's footwell, above the brake pedal area. This normal? Never noticed this in any other car before

It’s underwear are showing!

Not a big problem. So I’ve had that panel off the car before when I installed my GMRS Radio. Basically, there is some sound attenuation insulation “glued” to the upper side of that lower dash panel. I am guessing what has happened is that it has come adrift.

I’d just push it back up there neatly which is probably all a dealer would do. I doubt they’d even replace that with a new part under warranty, but perhaps even if necessary.

I found this on ebay -- you can see here the insulation adhered to the upper side of the trim panel (with hot glue gun like material in a few spots) . This is the passenger side piece not drivers, but... same deal.

Hope that helps.
