lt shouldn't be on the interior door handle, that's asking for trouble.
l don't expect the finish to hold up for long, this is after 3,000 miles, but at least it looks like you can replace just that part of the door trim.

One of the aftermarket parts sellers should start marketing a plastic alternative for
the interior door pulls.

 

Nuclear option is switching them to the vinyl version. Idk if it's because mine is HSE X-Dynamic or because I got Robustec but my doors are pleather and they absorb nothing.

That can't cost much to switch, right.
