Default Intrusion Sensor

Hi can you let me know if this option is just the standard alarm that needs to be included or is it an additional alarm?

Thanks

The us spec defender has door and a shock sensor. The intrusion sensor is a motion sensor that’s only available in Europe. I’m sure it can be added if you know a dealership that is willing to activate it and you can find a European dealership willing to sell you the part.

Does anyone know how to disable this? I like to remote start the Defender while I run into the store if my dog is with me, but he set it off earlier today. I won't take him out in this hot weather if he can't have AC running and the alarm blasting away.

I have the intrusion sensor and it has to be activated separately from the rest of the vehicle - you might be accidentally doing that. If you lock the door via the handle or the fob by pushing the button once, it engages the normal alarm. If you press either a second time the defender will make two short beeps which indicates the intrusion sensor is now active.

Often people push the lock button on the fob a bunch so if you're doing that you're also engaging the sensor.

Wish I had it. There's been a rash of break-ins where thieves break the street side glass, climb in and rummage through the car without opening the doors, no alarms sounds. The neighborhood woke to 6 broken windows on our block alone.
