For those interested, looks like they delayed the ordering until September.

I saw the mention of September ordering in yesterday's "We'll be in touch" letter from JLR as well. Going back to the Order Guide published on 7/3, it had a timeline of milestone dates that said the first dealer order call was "to be announced by distribution." Yesterday's letter was actually the first time I heard of any state date or month from JLR when the order window would open. So September would give them about a month before the October start of production. With most everything included as standard and really only few choices and colors to specify, I'd like to think the start of production date won't be walking back.

Of course I say that having watched my V8 130 order walk back last year from October, to November, to January, to March, and then I think to May before they pulled the plug on them for model year.

Anybody have info on when we can order the OCTA. They originally said September.

I thought I read somewhere that it was delayed a couple months, but deliveries begin early next year. And you can only order if you receive an allocation. I think every dealer in NA got three or four allocations. Best thing to do is to call your dealer to make sure you're confirmed on the list.

I am set as to a dealer allocation (at least according to them). Obviously delaying the ordering will delay the delivery which was supposedly Decemberish 2024.
Just wanted to see if anybody has heard anything. My dealer has not.

I just went to look at the email they sent me after configuring one when I was at Goodwood. I was offered an allocation but I ended up canceling it and will buy one of the last ICE Porsche Boxsters instead. My email also says September, so if they still do plan on starting orders this month, I'm sure we'll hear something soon. Its only the beginning of the month.

Will the Boxster have BFG Trail all terrains or Duratrac R/T's?

lol no, It'll have whatever comes from the factory. Fingers crossed I'll get the Michelin PS4S. I don't want the dreadful Pirelli PZeros or the Goodyear Eagle F1s that are the other factory tire choices. If I don't get the Michelins, I'll take off and throw away the Pirellis or GYs and buy a set of Michelins. The perfect two car solution is a Boxster and a Defender!
