Are you doing this on your own or at the dealership? Did your nav maps get erased? I had that happen on the first 202o Defender I bought, and it was only showing the UK maps instead of the US. The dealer fixed it at that time. Just curious and want to know why you are downloading maps.

@nashvegas I've had the same painfully slow download speeds. I chalked it up to being a slow old machine and so slow USB reads/writes. I don't know why they won't let you download to an internal drive then copy over.

@wcc18999 I did mine when I took ownership of the Defender, so as to get the latest maps. I don't think I'll bother again for a few years as it was so painful.

I saw a notification in the car clicking around settings that “new map was available” at landrover.com/pivimap - so I went on the website and put in my VIN … everything is working fine… They’re installing a bunch of new traffic and speed cameras in my area so I was hoping this might include them.

I went to landrover.com/pivimap and did not find an option for North America or United States. How did you download any maps and where did you download them to? A thumb drive, or OTA? Confused and not sure how to proceed in updating the maps. I was under the impression that they are current/‘live’ via connection either over cellular or satellite. Hoping you could enlighten me on this.

I did this about six months ago and it took maybe an hour or so to download the maps onto the USB stick.

Try this link below. I ran into that issue of not being able to select the North America market too off the main "landcover.com/pivimap" link that the car provided --https://www.landroverusa.com/ownersh...-download.html

Thanks for those responses and suggestions. I will give it another try when I find a chunk of time.

Thanks for the link @nashvegas downloading on my mac and it has 2 hours to go before fully downloading to my usb drive. Since my rig is garaged offsite not sure if I will have time today to update to the car directly.
