Default K&N air filter

Folks,

Saw first hand that a K&N replacement air filter doesn’t do much on all my previous vehicles, but my Defender is a P300 with the 2.0L turbo petrol and this being my first turbo engine, I always heard that the turbos greatly benefit from better breathing.

what’s the general consensus ???

Fun fact.... the most restrictive part of the intake is the throttle body. So unless you are driving around WOT, a better breathing filter is of no use - unless you want to believe marketing and people who have never been near a dyno.

I put the ramairusa filter in our defender p400 and l405 5.0SC, gave both a little more intake sounds, the 5.0 has more whine now too. Doubt much perf gain if any from either, just a panel filter in same boxes.
