Very good. Thanks all. Something learned, today -- yippee!
I would not have guessed the "keeping the limbs off reason". But as one who drives mostly in the woods, I think on I am certain that it would work well.
As for looking cool, that's out of my league -- even though I do think many of the Defenders being shown are really very, very pretty.
Enjoy !

@stillruns - perhaps he was referring to the two Jerry cans full of fuel on top? I think he was joking, either way.

They are called "limb risers". The intent is if you are going through thick forests/grasslands that the branches/stuff ride up the cable and over the vehicle instead of shattering the windshield. Hey, maybe every Defender needs that with their windshields!! In this case, I highly suspect that they are for "looks". You know a lot of 4x4 is as much as looking cool as much as function. I looked at the Trek 21 in the North Hills and it looked like they were clipped on with those Nite Eyz carabiners. If that's the case, there's not really any strength in them. Also they start way too high up in the hood. Most of the Australia versions start at the roo bars to give the branches / trees more time/slope to go over. But fully functional ones are pretty beefy to protect the front {windshield} of the truck.

Looks great @Vin . Wish I could check it out in person. Anyone know who the 70 dealerships were that competed? Maybe find one of them near me. This definitely makes me eager for Lucky8 to start selling the headlight protectors.
We have them in stock and ready to go currently $188 give us a call and talk to Sean or Erik to get a set on the way to you.
We also have the Proud Rhino rear ladders as well.
