I suspect that it does. But I would put it into the same category of: put it on to go offroading/overlanding and then just remove it when not.

I thought you had 285/60R18 on the Evo corse.

No rub issue with these wider 32.5"ers?

My bad! Yes, they are!! (Currently, much cleaner - but that's the only photo handy). You are correct: LT 285/60-18. FWIW - they are VERY close at Access mode and when turning. I may take pics and post for those who want to see.

These are 285-65r18 (BFG KO2).
Slight rubbing at normal height at full steering lock (front inner fender). No big deal.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone. I ended up doing Johnson Rods 1.5" lifting rods, BFGoodrich K02 275/70 R18. Stock wheels obviously, no spacers or anything on the wheels. GPS shows my speedometer is off 0-1mph, so I do not think I am going to mess with anything in the ECU for changing tire size. I have a little bit of rub on the front mudflaps at full lock when at normal ride height, which is barely noticeable.

Interesting! I guess there’s really a more significant difference in size between brands than I would have thought. I bought a set of Kenda Klever RT601s in the same size, 275/70R18s, and they were nowhere close to working. Rubbed seriously on the front with any turn, even very mild, at any height, with or without 1.5” Johnsons, and with or without 30mm spacers. No combination worked. Would have required modifying the inner wheel-well liner pretty significantly. So I got rid of them and went stock size, 255/70R18, in Cooper Discoverer Rugged Trek (another RT-style tire) and they fit but with nothing to spare, as they measure out to exactly 0.5” taller than the stock 20” Wranglers. My last set of tires on my last Jeep were the Kenda RT601, in the unique (and fairly skinny) 35x10.5x17 size and I really liked them, even without the fact they are a serious bargain. But I’d need a 255 in that tire and they don’t even make a 265.

I made various measurements of the unladen Kendas when I had them but stupidly forgot to measure the actual exact height. I did measure the height differential between the stock 255 Wrangler and the 275 Kenda as 1.125”; when I am next back home I’ll pull a Wrangler to get an unladen height on it and that will give me a height on the Kenda.

In the meantime, did you get an exact height on the 275s you have now before putting them on the truck? (They lose quite a bit of height with the weight of the truck, of course.)

And finally, do you mind posting your exact post above over on the No Lift Tire Size Guide stickie thread at the top? I’ll copy and paste this one there as well. Data points are always welcome.

I think you are right. 275/70 R18 math wise are 33.2 but the Open Country MTs I purchased measure 33.6.
