Default lift rods and GAP tool

I've got my new to me '23 Trek edition, which came with 1.5" proud rhino lift rods. Let's say I didn't want the lift. If I use the GAP tool and lower the suspension by 1.5" would that be an equivalent alternative to buying 4 OEM rods? Just wondering if doing it that way would keep the sensors in range, or if it'd mess up something at access height.
Also, I'm ok with the ride quality as is, but assuming it would be some amount softer if I lowered it. Is it a significant difference?
Thank you

The rods are hardware pieces, so no matter what, the car will be 1.5" higher at any height. You can remove the rods, and use the GAP tool to lift the suspension higher than stock or lower to the bump stops if needed.

I get that for a given height setting the mod rods are higher than standard rods. But can I go into the gap tool and drop access height, normal, and extended all by 1.5" to at least mimic where the OEM ride heights were for those 3 settings?
