The great thing about the GAP eLift is that you can adjust it and have 3 on hand, and turn it on/off on demand.

I can run one of three lifts on the trail and then revert to stock for highway before dropping to bump-stops to enter my garage when I have a bunch of skis on my rack.

Over the course of a year I’ll do all of these things.

Folks pay over $600 for a LLAMS that does the same thing. Then they still have to install it.

GAP is plug it in and pick up your phone.

@GavinC Can I use the gap tool to alter my normal height? So when I hit th button in the car it will be my offset normal height? I just want to run bigger tires and I dont want to ahve to break out the GAP tool all the time.

Yes.

Turn on a lift. It will stay lifted indefinitely. You simply decide how much you want to lift it. Just like a lift rod. They last until you remove them too. No difference in that respect.

A lift for minutes or months. You decide. GAP tool can live happily in its box at home or in the glove box. It's no longer needed.

Gap tool simply changes the normal ride height by however many mm you tel it to. Up or down. Just like a lift rod, all height options, (normal, access, off-road 1 and 2) are similarly altered. It stays that way until you change it.

I would argue, it's one of the most useful features of the tool. One that seems to fly under the radar of many.

As a side note: If you want to change a lift rod, you need to stop the car remove the 4 rods and put in the other 4. Takes a bit of time I wager. If you want to do the same with GAP you just plug in tool, and open the phone on your App. You don't need to stop, or slow down. All changes can be done on the fly. A few clicks and you've got a different lift. 30 seconds.

just want to confirm… no issues changing on the fly? I use my GAP tool to change at stop signs between my four presets, but never on the fly due to the suspension fault warning. Ok to change to highway mode at 75 mph?

I've done it at speeds p to about 40mph. I assume it's the same at any speed. The transient (2-3second) suspension warning is always going to feature; a non-issue. Go out and try it at 75mph. I'm assuming you'll live to tell the uneventful tale.

This is super helpful information Gavin. Just to clarify, to "change on the fly" does the GAP IID tool need to always be plugged into your OBD port while driving ?

GAP needs to be plugged in anytime you are making a change. Otherwise it’s not needed. While driving or stationary. Changes made remain till you change them again.
