Default Light load setting in TPMS is not allowed

I am trying to selecr the light load setting in TPMS. I can get to the correct screen on the instrument panel and can see two settings; normal and light load. However, it will not let me select the light load.

I have dropped the pressure to 38 psi all around but now I get the low pressure notification each time I start the car.

I had the exact same issue for several days. I eventually got it to accept the option of shifting to the light load. I’m not 100% sure, but I think the thing that let it change was shifting into gear (out of Park) while stopped. I had been sitting for 5 mins with the car on and in park with no luck. I actually gave up and shifted into drive to leave and then all of a sudden in worked. Not sure if that was the proper fix, but that was the only thing that got it to work for me.

I had this issue when I switched mine to lower TPMS setting. I had luck with what the SA at my local dealer told me to try.

1. Lock vehicle with normal driving key.
2. Wait ten minutes.
3. Unlock with your spare (less used key).
4. Start and drive somewhere 1-5 miles away.
5. Do not turn off vehicle but do put in park.
6. Attempt Light Load settings update.

This worked for me the very first try after failing 4-5 times with my normally used key.

Tried it, but no joy so far.

Default Tpms light load still not allowed

I tried both solutions (must confess the service advisor who came up with the spare key bit must be a druid priest muttering magic incantations on th we side) but no luck.

Regards
