Low Battery Warning
Same thing for me, once while camping when my 2023 was new-ish. I've gotten into the habit of turning the dome/door lights off while I'm camping, and when we get where we're going, I just leave the doors open while we're unloading, cooking, etc. This seems to help as it has never repeated.
If you have GAP tool you can reset TCU for the primary battery with a few clicks in the app.
simple.
Theae AGM batteries are veryvlong lasting it seems.. Tested mine a few months back. 4 years old and it reads full charge.
Update: 11/13/2025
I took it to the dealer last week because the warning showed up again even after trickle charge, they tested the battery and told me it needs a new one. They swapped it no charge. Thank you guys!

These Defenders have been devouring batteries at a higher rate than average. Numerous posts here relate owners on their 3rd and 4th batteries in several years. I had mine replaced at three years, which seems to be the current lifetime for this current generation of batteries these days. Dozens of previously owned cars over decades and I can hardly remember replacing a few, total. Now it’s recommended to replace batteries every 2-3 years. Combination of newer batteries not built to last the long run, and the plethora of sensors and components and constant monitoring and communication going on in the vehicle even when parked and locked adds up to shortened battery longevity.
Mine (2022 HSE 110) went out when I picked the car up at the airport. Seems to be a known - but expensive for JLR - defect. At dealer now waiting for replacement from UK - I'm sure they'll get right to it over the holidays...
New to me 2022 Defender X. Three weeks into ownership... Low Battery warning came on day 2 after taking delivery. New OTA update appeared but kept failing due to low battery charge. Tried charging overnight, but no improvement. Car started fine every time, so I kind of think that the 48V battery is doing the cranking. Dropped it off at the dealer yesterday, and pick it up this morning with a new battery under warranty. The original in service date was Jan 2022, so it looks like this one lasted just about 4 years.
