Default Many Service Bulletins Solved, and a New One Introduced

Just picked up my ‘20 from the dealership after they fixed the A-pillar wind noise, the Auto High-beam setting, and replaced the wireless charging hardware, but now the Auto-up on the driver’s side window doesn’t work. Auto-down works, and Auto-up works on the other windows.

It’s always something, but I still think it’s one of the best cars I’ve owned.

They may have forgotten to reset the auto-up on that window only. Roll the driver side window down, then roll it back up by pulling and holding the window up button until it's completely shut. Momentarily release the button then pull it up again for a second or two, you should hear a faint click. Release and test, auto up should work again. This needs to be done for each window every time you disconnect the battery (or the dealer installs updates, obviously.)

For the A Pillar - apparently there is a new Topix out from a week or two ago that has the dealer can order a "repair kit". (Not just felt tape which doesn't fully work). Did they use that on your fix? Not sure what is in the repair kit - but was told epoxy and a few other things.

^^^agree. The service manual has step-step notes on the window reset process. Easier to do yourself than to take it to dealer—unless you have other things to get fixed.

Thanks umbertob and TheMoke, but the easiest thing was to let it think about it overnight. It worked as intended the next day! I do recall now having to do this to my dearly departed Mercedes once, but my first instinct is to ask the forums because guys like you always have an answer for me! Thanks again.

Hoosbest, the bulletin shown in my work order is JLRTB02058 “for windshield molding modification”. SRO Code 99.01.37. No parts listed.
