Default Map lights aren’t working

Hi- 2020 Defender here. Map lights randomly stopped working.

courtesy lights still work when the doors are opened but can’t access lights when the doors are closed.

had this happened to any one else? Easy fix?
anything to reset?

l have had occasional issues such as this with my 2022.

Once, the turn signal sound stopped. Another time the USB ports in the centre console no longer lit up. And another time the cameras stopped functioning.

On all occasions they worked the next time l used the vehicle.

Yeah these have been out a couple months. Thought no big deal until I wanted to use them yesterday in a dark car haha.

@RenoDefender Did you ever figure this problem with your map lights not working? (but courtesy lights still work when the doors are opened but can’t access lights when the doors are closed.)

Having same issue and wondering if a connector is undone somewhere. Also I noticed my sun visor lights don't work.

This is after the dealer dropped my headliner to do a TSB related to the keyless entry. I am hoping they just forgot to reconnect some connector when they had a go.

Thanks

This happened to me and the dealer had to replace some sensor. It’s been a while so I can’t remember what it was but it was fixed.

Update: Mine's fixed. Dealer had left a sunvisor unplugged, and apparently when the visors are unplugged, the harness connector was either shorting out to the metal roof, or the circuit just wouldn't work.

The sunvisor lights are on the same circuit as the map (selectable on/off) lamps, the glove box lamps, and all the dash/door LED strips/ambient lighting. In my case, this entire circuit was dead. Fixed now by reconnecting the sunvisor harnesses.
