Meridian Sub Replacment
Anyone making a direct replacement for the meridian sub that's under the driver's seat? I'm assuming JLR is using this system in a few cars and hoping someone offers a better quality sub as a swap.
My Defender is still on order and I only had a 3 minute test drive so I didn't even turn the radio on. It's an HSE but I assume it's another middling set-up that I'll have to throw some money at.
What is it you are looking to change about the sound? Distortion? Lack of range, punch, etc?
I managed a car stereo shop right after college and went on to start a business in custom audio, theater rooms, etc. so I might be able to help.

I'm also interested in upgraded the sound system. My vehicle is still in port waiting for rear tail lights but I'm sure my X isn't going to produce the punch my custom JL setup will in my F250. I'm assuming I'll need a bigger amp and would love to fit at least a 10" sub if possible.
Yep, unfortunately what's in there is more of a woofer than a subwoofer. Adding a 10" or 12" sub in a box with a dedicated amp would really be the way to get some boom.
