Wow! Are critical comments about KO2’s allowed on the forum?? It’s a first regardless.

I have some experience with a friend's Wrangler that had KO2s. On-road they had decent dry handling, but they are loud, and in the rain they were abysmal. Off-road they were excellent in the mud, on the trails and also great in the snow. The KO3 has fixed the wet grip problem.

Starting next year, BFG will start selling the KO3 in the OEM 255/65R19 and 255/60R20 sizes. I'll definitely try the KO3 when my Wildpeaks go bad. I might swap back in my original 19" wheels so I have a little more sidewall, but you still have plenty of sidewall on the 20" wheels.

I have the dreaded 19” Duratracs. Performance - very acceptable; traction in mud, gravel, sane, and snow - very acceptable; noise - very acceptable. Fortunately I have little occasion to drive through sharp rock gardens. I will switch to Duratrac r/t or KO3’s when available and necessary. I’m sure there are as good, or better out there, but I’m not seeking perfection or willing to build another garage just for tires.

That's the reason why I ditched the 19" wheels. Only option were all-seasons, the standard Wrangler Adventures that I had, or the Duratracs. I didn't want the Duratracs, so I bought a set of 20" wheels off my buddy's LR4 and went with the Falken Wildpeak AT3W. On-road and in the rain they are a lot better than the KO2, and off-road performance is just as good as the KO2.
