Looks like the Morning Lynn is moored in Dundalk - anyone know if this is the actual port? If so, 🍻!

Almost there!

For anyone curious about whether the Meridian "Surround" will be in your recent X or V8 build? I found this on the interwebs - As others have stated, it sounds like any upper level Land Rover built after 9/23 would have a downgraded sound system.
I'm really debating on walking away as well. If it was something that "could" be retrofitted then I would consider going through with the transaction, but now I'm really on the fence and have been waiting since July when I put the deposit for my build. Since then, I've been watching JLR slowly remove items, like Sunglass holder, USB ports (I hate they changed/removed the ports on the back of front seats) as well as others which can be retrofitted at least. Now the sound system!

2023MY Range Rover and Range Rover Sport Audio System Amendments
Bulletin 222310.014
October 5, 2022

To All U.S. Land Rover Retailers:

Distribution Bulletin 222309.023 issued on Sept 23rd informed of the impact of current semiconductor supply constraints on our ability to build Range Rover and Range Rover Sport Autobiography and 1st Edition models. These models are fitted with high specification Meridian audio systems which rely on the semiconductors that are constrained.

I just learned that presumably because the Morning Lynn arrived in port, my estimated delivery date moved up from December 29 to December 16. I was able to pull the outstanding campaigns, and can confirm that my vehicle does not have the USBs either. I am pleased that remediation in the future is at least tagged to my vehicle, so hopefully it can be done on a retrofitted basis within a reasonable time. I expect that the balance of the campaigns will probably be remediated by the dealer prior to delivery?

Did anyone get theirs off Morning Lynn yet? 😄 I know the answer just burning off some suspense.

I plan to at least sit in the vehicle and give it a listen during a test drive. I don't think I will walk away, if I'm honest. The comments about concern of resale value are overblown. These things won't be worth anything after 6-7 years anyway.

I am fortunate that I was able to grab an inbound 110 v8 built 8/23/22 - looks like my original order due to be built 1/23/23 would’ve lost the surround system. Similar thing happened with BMW X5s with base system being subbed out for the top of the line. Disappointing, but while the surround system is really nice, I don’t think I would’ve walked away from the downgrade, despite being disappointed.
