Model 2023 - Production and delivery date
I am fortunate that I was able to grab an inbound 110 v8 built 8/23 - looks like my original order due to be build 1/23 would’ve lost the surround system. Similar thing happened with BMW X5s with base system being subbed out for the top of the line. Disappointing, but while the surround system is really nice, I don’t think I would’ve walked away wit the downgrade, despite being disappointed.
For those on the Morning Lynn: as of this AM it looks like it is now on docked on the opposite side of the bay from where it was docked when it first arrived in Baltimore---I wish I had a better sense of what happens when it gets to port, how long it takes to offload, what things do they do to the Defenders 'in port' before putting them on carriers to the dealers.....really hoping to be able to take delivery next Friday.

I think my comment about resell may have been misunderstood, it was more about being questioned by a potential buyer why this model X doesn't have the "surround" option vs. the value. I do hope they keep their value more than most Land Rovers, but that may be wishful thinking.

I just learned that presumably because the Morning Lynn arrived in port, my estimated delivery date moved up from December 29 to December 16. I was able to pull the outstanding campaigns, and can confirm that my vehicle does not have the USBs either. I am pleased that remediation in the future is at least tagged to my vehicle, so hopefully it can be done on a retrofitted basis within a reasonable time. I expect that the balance of the campaigns will probably be remediated by the dealer prior to delivery?
You have to register as an independent operator first. If I run my VIN without logging in I don't see any service campaigns, but If I log in and then run, I can see USB-C shortage. However if you want to read the actual content in the service bulletin (or any other info) you'll need a paid subscription.
