OK, stuff is starting to get real, and I need to start planning to pick up my order around my work travel schedule.
Ive got a 6/26 build date with a delivery date of 9/1 in Spokane WA.
Do west coast deliveries come by boat through the canal or by rail from the east coast? What is likelihood mine will sail to Tacoma?
My 23.5 defender which I got about two weeks ago.
Its journey was as follows:
Built in Slovakia, then went by train to Germany or Zeebrugge Belgium (this part I'm not fully sure on), so it got loaded on the ship at one of these locations, ship went from Zeebrugge to Southampton (probably loading the British built Range Rovers). From Southampton it went to the Panama Canal. After it went through the canal, it went along the Mexican coast, it stopped in San Diego (some cars must have been unloaded here). Then the ship went to the Hueneme port which is north of LA, the defender was unloaded here.
Here it got processed through customs, then a transportations truck was assigned. It went from the road on the truck up to Seattle.

Correct progression. Port Huaneme is the Port used in the LA area.

My journey is much easier than I expected
build date is 6/4, sales was telling me defender wasn't on ship yet in 6/22, one week later she arrives port Baltimore, and I should be able to pick her up Monday

No wonder these vehicles cost a ton. The freight alone must be expensive with this long of a journey and multiple phases. This makes me wonder, if you could buy a Defender from the farthest point in the world, where would it be from?
Got my MY23.5 110 Eiger Gray X-dynamic a few weeks ago--followed this forum religiously over 4 months while I anticipated every delay or issue imaginable.
It has been a fantastic experience so far with no issues. Thanks all for providing all the questions and answers on here. This is a fantastic resource!
Added side steps, added pet partition, added cross bars and luggage rack (not in photos).
I live near Allentown, PA
Ordered Feb 25, 2023 (After two test drive dates)
Last Amendment Date March 6, 2023
Built on April 21, 2023
Delivered on June 16, 2023
(I picked it up on the June 24th, because I was out of town on business)
Everything was 100% honest and all dates and options met the the customer order sheet received on March 6th (exactly as above).
I was able to get the VIN from the dealer two weeks after it was built and review the NFTSA notes online track which boat it was on.
As I waited I used this website to research little things and ended up adding side steps, cross rails, and a pet partition. I also purchased a back door table and a ram mount cell phone holder but have not installed them.
Everything went off without a hitch. I reviewed my order against what was provided.
Everything is included! except the fully digital display--I got the half analogue, but it is very sleek and good looking. I thought I would be bummed with it, but its really nice.
The PIVY has updated once. I've driven 2500 miles. I haven't had any issues. I followed info on here to get everything set up correctly with the app remote and uconnect.
Yes, I got the 700 watt meridian surround, DLR LED headlights, and USBs throughout.
I did get a ceramic coat and a windshield film due to the windshield crack complaints, but honestly it really holds up well. It does not stand anymore upright than a Jeep so it should not break.
I have not changed the windshield wipers, I think they do a fine job. I do wash and clean the car each week because I enjoy it so much and want to take good care of it.
Awesome--I am a first time poster. I can't wait to post on the "Land Rovers in the Wild" thread and get this thing out in the mud and water.

Irrationally I was hoping for Tacoma so I could watch it sail by my house. Wouldn't really matter much since I have to pick up in Spokane but 🤷.
What was your build and delivery dates? I'm seeing a lot of folks get their vehicles sooner than projected but they're all east coast.
@atxatxatx Good info here for the West Coasters. Do you know how many calendar days your travel was from the port in Belgium or Germany to the LA Port?
