Happy sailing. This must be the Orion Highway below, currently English Channel and due to arrive Baltimore 1st September. I'm 2-3 days in front of you on the Tirranna, mid-atlantic and due Baltimore 30th August - still showing 9/9 delivery to mid-West. I really would like this prior 9/15 for a long planned roadtrip. Will be close I suspect.

Mine was built August 18th it looks like, and I have a VIN. Current Status says 'Order Built' so guessing it's not on the boat with the others. I was expecting it in October and looks like that's holding.

Mine was built in July, says it is in Market Distribution as of Monday. No Idea what that means.

Talking well finally some GOOD news

Well - got the phone call today and confirmation our Defender is on the ship making the swim to US shores, currently appears to be near Panama. Should be here late Sep 2022 for a ball park 6 months turn around time. Original ETA of the LRD was mid-Aug but shipping was delayed due to railroad issues as mentioned in other post(s).

Our Kimberley Karavan trailer previously noted is also on its ship currently, and in port, east of Cape Town, South Africa, before heading our way for the final leg. The KK has certainly taken the milk run from Australia, but that turned out to be better for us as we couldn't pull it with our FJcruiser anyway.

Once we actually take delivery of the LRD it'll be time for some quick break in miles, then make a road trip eastward along Route 66 to head east and pickup our KK in Ohio for a return trip to Denver. Retirement has its privileges.

Here's hoping there be no sea monsters on their last legs to US shores

We remain hopefully optimistic the order will be fulfilled as spec'd for our 23MY Defender 110X, 400PD 3.0 (Pangea Green). Parts - delivery - etc are out of our hands so might as well enjoy the journey [img

Default air suspension

Hi
has anyone noticed that air suspension is now back on as standard? a few weeks ago it was an optional extra! that means the car I was building (X-Dynamic 110 HSE in black) is now cheaper than it was a few weeks ago!!! that's good news right?

In case anyone needs this as confirmation of Price Lock Guarantee on Defender Orders. Luckily I was able to source this because the Dealer acted like he didnt know what I was talking about.
Thankfully they are going to honor the Old Msrp after I showed them this, or atleast close to it. They still bumped me for some bull Ceramic Coating charge (which I doubt they even put on). Will see tomorrow hopefully after I pick up vehicle.

Themis was in Southampton for a day or so before departing for Halifax. Maybe yours was loaded aboard recently? Themis is expected in Halifax on Sept 3rd; presumably a US port after that.

Our dealer sold to us at MSRP, minus the incentive and there were no surprise add ons. Well, they added the interior protection pack we didn’t order, plus a couple other minor items we didn’t order but were included on the original window sticker. They did however low ball our trade in. When I told them we would just pay cash and sell our car to CarMax, they told us that the only way we would get the Defender at MSRP would be to have a trade in and use dealer financing. We got the OTD to within $2,000 of the CarMax offer but they wouldn’t budge any more. If the dealer didn’t sell to us, they then could add their $10-$15,000 markup to it as an inventory sale rather than a customer order. In the end we didn’t want to start the year long process again so we got the exact Defender we wanted.

In all honesty, with the incredibly low volumes the new car dealers are experiencing I’m surprised they can hang on until the market stabilizes so I don’t begrudge them getting another small markup.
