Default Must be lucky, got my D90S build dates "Day 1"?

Curiously enough (no haters please, my expectations were 6 to 8 months), when I walked into the JLR dealer at noon to pay my deposit from my order yesterday they gave me build # and confirmed dates.

Mine is build date 5/12 (Last Amendment date 3/27) which is in just over 30 days.

The only thing that was unavailable was the enhanced headlights but fog lights were added anyway. I don't think you can get the online configurator to let that happen without the enhanced lights.

I will snapshot the details sheet and attach.

Maybe see mine by August 1st? It shows June 30.

They said they just got it? Don't allocations come on the 18th each month? Blew my mind, I had figured August or slipping to the month of October.

I'm not aware of a specific date allocation for all dealers but that may be right. From what I've seen, it's usually 2/3rds through the month, so that date may be spot on. My sales guy said kinda the same thing.

The allocations and time to production may be changing with the availability of more chips and the addition of the third-shift in Nitra.

That was my take, either better supply chain and / or the 3rd shift is already paying off.
