Update. My wheels showed up last night so I slapped them on this morning. These are the Vossen HF2 in 20x9.5 with a +25 offset I believe.

Zero rubbing issues even out and about offroad.

Looks great! Did you end up taking off the 30mm spacers when you switched wheels?

Yeah, the wheels were custom built so I don't need the spacers any longer with these new wheels.

Did the 30mm wheel spacers work with the BFG KO2s? I plan on purchasing 30mm, but would like some feedback.

Yes, they worked fine fitment wise. The K02 tires were the issue for balance and shape. After replacing 3 of the original 5 for warranty reasons within the first 140 miles and have two more that wouldn't at all balance I ran away from those garbage tires. They were simply terrible quality control versus the Nitto.

Come on. Garbage tires? Methinks you're being a little dramatic. They're OEM tire for the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and Ford F-150 Raptor. That's 10's of thousands of tires rolling out every single month, month after month after month. Not only is there no avalanche of upset customers on the whole, but people here in this little community are swapping out their OEM tires for KO2s left and right. That isn't because they're garbage. So you had a bad experience, fine. Sounds like they tried to make it right by honoring the warranty and it sounds like you found some tires you like more, which is wonderful.

I concur. I’ve been running KO2s for years on My past off-road vehicles from Hummers to Jeeps, now on the Defender.
The are fabulous off-road tires as they are on our asphalt roadways.

I think I've owned both of those vehicles mentioned as well, K02 were okay but subpar in contrast of the Ridge Grapplers that eventually replaced them on my Jeep and Raptor. My Raptor upon delivery had to two replaced before I even drove it for the first time as they flat spotted in transit and couldn't be balanced.

So is my experience with them tainted? Yes. My opinion matters to me and it is my thread after all. I've had several experiences with the K02. You can also spend 5 minutes reading recent Tire Rack reviews and notice the ratings slip.

I had KM3's on my G63 AMG that were amazing. I have a lot of experience with off road vehicles and tires. I have been in the industry my entire adult working life and own a company inside said industry.

Jesus man. Don’t disagree with me in my thread! Wowza. If you had them on all those other vehicles and had such bad experiences, why’d you buy then for your Defender?

Fair question. It really was a matter of convenience as they were in stock and cheaper than the Nitto. COVID hasn't been great for supply chain so when something is in stock you tend to pounce, which is why I did.

I also, like I stated, had awesome luck with the KM3 tire which is my most recent experience with the BFG brand. I also have Michelin tires on a couple of my super cars which is the same family corporately.

Deep down I prefer the aesthetic of the K02 a touch more. Just not willing to live with an unbalance tire setup.
