New Defender 90 sleep inside solution/suggestion?
Hi folks,
I'm wondering if any out there have tried a solution to sleep inside their new Defender 90 while traveling/camping. Mattress/sleeping bag suggestions that can fit the 90? I'm 5' 11 in height.
Thanks in advance!
Cheers

the 90 is a lot of fun and comically small.. want to store a golf bag? get one that lies in front of the bench seating.. going to the grocery store? make sure you only get four bags of groceries.. Want to lie flat? enjoy the stabilizer bar.. That said, wouldn't trade it for anything.
I'm considering a move from my LR3 to a new-to-me Defender and my god if the D90 doesn't sing its siren song to me....
I really, really loved that I could sleep in my LR3 and was actually one of the big reasons it was a frontrunner rig for me at the time I bought it; but I also moved from an extreme country mountain life (30 miles from remote Rocky Mtn adventures at any given moment) since then, to an extreme of city life just outside NYC (and driving to the mountains on weekends to camp or stay in cabins)

I slept inside my original-generation Defender 90 several times. You need a platform in the back, of course, but also a comfortable way to lay your legs between the seats, down along the center console area. This sounds awkward, but there's a lot more room with this strategy than with one of those business-class lay-flat seats where you stick your legs through a coffin-like hole.
So I think it's possible with the new 90 too, at least for a single sleeper who isn't a basket-ball star. The real trick is how to set it up so that it's convenient.

I’m looking at the Pacifac adventure works platform to meet my need. I’m trying to figure out where the third set of legs on their solution will sit to determine if I need extensions or a couple of blocks for the legs to reach over the folded up seat and into the backseat footwell. My solutions are between that and a Backseat Bivy, although the Bivy solution would have a pretty steep incline I think. Either way, there was another guy with a 90 out there that created a couple of wooden pieces that bridged the gap between the back and the front seats, that didn’t seem to cumbersome, so it’s definitely doable. I haven’t pulled the gun on a 1K solution for the Pac Works bed, so I’m slowly replacing my camping gear with much smaller items to stlll be able to store everything in the vehicle when asleep..
