I'm in for one if it all works out / will send you a DM !
I'm wondering, apparently the X models have some weirdo differences in how they mount (with the trim pieces, the silver stuff w/ the holes in it). Not sure if anyone has the skinny on what may be different about mounting the bits on an X (?)
I may take you up on one for $3k, let me know if you end up going through with it. I’d be curious to hear from people who currently have it installed - does it significantly change the way the vehicle handles?
further, are you planning on installing a winch with it?
I've had the bullbar installed for about a year, then added the winch myself in February. The bullbar itself is not as heavy as it looks. Air suspension compensates by adjusting the ride height up front. It doesn't sag, rides well and feels solid. My only negative on the bar itself is the lack of protection for the intercoolers, which some of the newer bars have now, but this bar is ADR compliant and JLR approved.
If you are thinking of adding a winch, I suggest that you do it at the time of bullbar install as there is a bit to take off/cut if you add it later.
See my post below for some feedback on winch selection, wiring. https://landroverforums.com/forum/20...e2/#post845973
Thanks for sharing your bullbar installation as well as your considerations for the winch. After reading that I've decided to go with the EVO VR too. An update for anyone else that's following this or is interested. I bought the 3 bullbars, just trying to figure out the best way to get them here. Airfreight costs to the US have very little wiggle room at the moment. We did however manage to find some efficiencies. Destination costs after point of entry to the US are quite steep too. The size and weight of the packages makes this understandable. So probably better to ship directly to whoever wants to avoid duplicating destination costs. After finding efficiencies with how we pack / ship we are waiting for updated quotes. Getting the bullbars here at a landed cost of $3k seems achievable only via seafreight (which will take a month + for final delivery and additional import admin). To avoid double destination costs and logistical admin - happy for whoever wants a bullbar to buy through me and then arrange own shipping direct. Bullbar kits (bullbar, mounting kit, crush cans, camera bezel) are $2400 excluding shipping. I've got a few direct messages out of interest but nothing confirmed yet - so if you're also looking for an AU spec bullbar feel free to drop me a line. Pics of the 3 bullbars in packaging below, ready to ship:
Loving mine. Agree with @VillaDazzler 's points that it's MUCH better to install the winch at the same time. Also, ditto that there's a bit of a design flaw with lack of protection on the lower coolers. But, haven't destroyed them...yet. Would love to find something after market that doesn't obstruct any sensors (that's the tough part).
I have Defender 110 P300 and I've been looking to get an AU Spec Bullbar for a while. The prices I've been quoted for them have made my consideration unjustified at $4,400 before shipping and another $1800 to ship from Aus to Northern California. Totaling $6,200 for the bar before duties. I've found a way to get the AU Spec OEM Bullbar for a landed cost of approx. $3k (pending final confirmation on shipping + duties) in Northern California. Wanted to see if there is anyone else that has been considering or wanting the same bar? Perhaps I should bring in more to try get economies of scale on shipping?
If this is something you've been considering let me know.

I would be interested in getting one if you import more than the one for you.
