Is it all that hard to just avoid bulls altogether? I don't think I ever encountered one in all my years of off-roading. And I know I've never had a near-miss with a 'roo.
Update here: All 3 bullbars are taken. I got a bunch of DMs from folks that are also interested - if you're also looking for these bars feel free to reach out and I'll try help.
Ha!! Love that comment @NoGaBiker !! However, if serious - I would say absolutely they are put on many vehicles in Texas and used. Until I moved here, I didn't think much of them. Now that I have hit quite a few deer and feral hogs, I get the point. The worse was when I clipped a couple hundred pound hog in my Mini Cooper late one night as it suicidally ran across the road. Fortunately, I just clipped the hind quarter as I was slamming on the brakes. Less luck with a pickup. So, yeah - while I find humor in the question, I feel it's a legit add to any vehicle. Anyone know where I can get one for a Mini Countryman....?

As a recently former R55 Clubman S owner (sold my '14 last summer for more than I paid for it in 2018), I can verify I would not want to hit a hog, domestic, feral, Arkansas mascot, or in any other configuration, with the often fast-moving front end of that car!
Hey @GrouseK9 , relatively minor detail here but -- I see in this pic in the thread you have a front plate mounted. Wondering... did you do the sly mount, and it works with the 'Roo bar? (and that waffle plastic grille doesn't fall out ?)
Exactly! It works fine. I put it thru the grill and haven't had any issues with it. I like it because I can move it around and don't have to worry about leaving behind any holes. One of my (many) plans is to hang a pair of Baja Designs LP-6 off of the bull bars. It will be a bit of Tetris finding where to place it without interfering with cameras or monitors, work effectively, and not look too red-necked. With that many unknown, I like that I can easily move it to where it will work down the road. Would highly recommend them.
For those who don't know what the heck we're talking about, here's the Link.
FWIW - My current thought is to hang them under the bars somewhere near where the fog lights are. I'll probably practice at night so that I don't interfere with them.
I have Defender 110 P300 and I've been looking to get an AU Spec Bullbar for a while. The prices I've been quoted for them have made my consideration unjustified at $4,400 before shipping and another $1800 to ship from Aus to Northern California. Totaling $6,200 for the bar before duties. I've found a way to get the AU Spec OEM Bullbar for a landed cost of approx. $3k (pending final confirmation on shipping + duties) in Northern California. Wanted to see if there is anyone else that has been considering or wanting the same bar? Perhaps I should bring in more to try get economies of scale on shipping?
If this is something you've been considering let me know.
This is beyond ridiculous. This roobar was made by a dealer in Oz. Why one in the states can not strike a deal, get the specs and build it is beyond me. Not like the dealers won't make coin when installing...
Hmm. I don't know if that's accurate? My understanding is that its an OEM Land Rover Accessory made for South Africa, New Zealand and Australia markets by Land Rover. If you have more context or background on it I would love to know?
