Who needs aftermarket? If JLR would just start shipping it from the factory in China to the USA it could be had at any dealership. Probably they don't see there being demand or there are some crash regulations that need to be passed or some such. Just seems very unfortunate that it's not made available direct to USA/Canada customers.

All the USA ones I've seen are custom jobs with custom prices. No economy of scale so it's to be expected. Folks need to keep the lights on and the wolf from the door.

 

Like 6-9 months ago Lucky8 teased a bullbar on instagram. But radio silence since.

 

I'm going to guess that they costed it out and it was as expensive or more than the factory one.

I'll keep waiting and see what shows up in the next year or so

and on the winch…. I understand rover offers no winch mounts for V8. So how are v8 owners including a winch with the factory brush guard in above thread pics? Lucky8/ rhino winch mount?

^^ Sheesh! I shipped my 2-door Jeep from Atlanta to Moab for $1000 a couple years ago. Maybe cheaper to buy a Defender with Bull bar installed, ship to SoCal, pull the bar and sell the Defender!

has anyone installed the LR bull bar that has a V8?

I think I found a dealer in the US that can order it. But the LR figment guide indicates won’t fit a V8…

here are the parts in a basket EXCEPT the mounting kit which is backordered with no ETA.

but now need to figure out why LR doesn’t include the V8 in the fitment guide.

 

@Chris.Gio that's not the Aus bullbar sadly (VPLEP0428). Check these instructions out -- 2 attachments. One is the bullbar mount kit. One is the bullbar. You'd need both. These docs show the part #'s. May help.

BTW I self installed bullbar on my P400 (and winch) about a year ago, if any questions shout out. There is no structural or physical reason I can see that it will not fit a V8 other than I'd bet cooling system concerns. Others may know a bit better. But I'd think it's a go.

I've had a V8 and my P400 front bumpers and grilles off at my house side by side and they are the same structure up front. The radiators and pipes are different but you're futzing with all of that when doing a bulbar / winch tray anyways. I suspect it's like the roof rails. (ie they fit but... you know...)

Had it out on the trails today and had a blast.. Mud below 3000 feet, then lots of snow up to about 4200 when we had to turn around.

Yup you are right, bad intel. Looks like the bull bar is part number VPLEP0448.

i *think* the full kit is part VPLE90BAR01 for the short wheelbase 90 with air suspension. May include everything, still researching.

 

I know you've had the bar for a bit now. I'd like one also and sent to So. Cal. Can you give me some pointers on obtain g the bar?
