Next Generation Apple Carplay integration
With the release of iOS 14.7, Apple applied the new Carplay that was expected for sometime. According to this article on 9to5mac, Land Rover is among the brands to apply the new interface. Anyone has this available in their cars yet?

Not yet! They did add center cluster Apple Maps recently though.
Overallt, this might be cool but I’m basically still just hoping CarPlay will finally allow the sinple “pinch to zoom” in Google maps instead of tapping the + and - buttons.
not sure how much I like the cool Land Rover Pivi and cluster being “Apple-ified”

l did the update on my iphone and then the Defender wanted me to "sign in to my ln Control account" which never normally happens.
At the moment l have to sign in every time l use the vehicle. l imagine there's some setting l need to change?
Anyhow, l know if l am not signed in because Spotify won't work properly.

@buzzinfrog - Did you mean version 17.4? I'm not a great iOS insider (I guess I'm in the "too old" demographic), but I thought the latest version is 17.3. Are you on an early release of 17.4? I'm finding no details re: that version.
Not to be a Debbie Downer, but if JLR's past "velocity" is taken into account for PiviPro updates, I'll be enjoying these features with the next Defender 3 evolution!

I did some digging around when this was first announced it it seems like many manufacturers are saying that they are not retrofitting carplay 2 into existing vehicles. All of the articles that are at the top of search engines only talk about new build, new version.
I'll see if I can find the article that stated this was a forward only change and not a retrofit.
