Hey, just wanted to know if you found the wheels, tires or etc you were looking for a while back?
I finally wore down my stock D90 OEM 20" tires (wore down as in I got a flat and I'm done with them). I purchased a Land Rover set of 5, 20", +15 offset wheels arriving today. Pricey....but that's why I work.
These to go on a set of Delium M/T's at 265 60 R20's. (I am a Toyo person, but couldn't find in this size when looking for the M/T's, and this new to me tire had great reviews, so I'll see).
A year ago I bought Lucky 8 1" lift rods at like $80 (?) and we put those on. Super easy to install. Fingers crossed these will go on. I'm hoping I don't have to go to 2" lift rods yet.
I was just curious, since all the wheel, tire conversations were about 18's and I can't run those, and I didn't see anyones updates. I will post mine when finally finished with new upgrades.

Just chiming in... I'm in the same camp as you, just waiting for more tire wear before upgrading to something beefier... definitely this summer.

My understanding is that 275/55/20 works with no lift and has no rubbing. I've also heard 265/60/20 works with no lift and has no rubbing.

The 275/60/20 should work with a 1" lift with no rubbing but 1.5" should definitely work.

If you call Johnson Rods and speak to somewhere there, they should be able to confirm.

I just recently upgraded from a 2020 X to 2023 V8... on my X I had Johnson Rods 2" lift and BFG KO2 275/60/20. X was great and I loved it... However, it felt very stiff in off-road height when off roading especially on faster dirt and gravel washboard / bumpy roads. Now, I am running KO2's 275/55/20 on the V8 with no lift rods... find it to be a much more smooth ride in all modes and no rubbing or issues. The size difference in wheels is minor with no apparent sacrifice in off road capabilities for 275/55/20. I can't say if the difference in ride quality is related to no lift rods vs. factory V8 suspension tweaks but my point in posting is that I find no benefit (functionality or cosmetic) in 60 vs 55 on the 20 inch wheels... after owning both my rec is go no lift 275/55/20. Also, KO2 is a great tire... drove my last set for 60K + and still had more life in them... great on and off road as well as snow.

 

I am now also running 275 55 20 BFG's on my D300. Love them.

Always loved the BFG KO2's. Didn't get them for my Defender, but likely get the KO3's when my current rubber needs replacement.

 

Unfortunately, early info WRT the "03" model tire, is mostly messed up. The new tire is the KM3 (Mud & snow), not KO3 (offroad). KO2 is their (BFG) offroad tire.
