The 25mm spacer woudln't fit w/o triming the lug nut and I wasn't wanting to do that.

Moved the intercooler and about to put 35s. Yes, it's ridiculous but i can and will. I take my car on dirt/gravel roads, farmland, fields, big bend national park and mess around al the time. Works for me. I don't do real rock climbing but i got rock sliders and a winch anyways! you do you....
PS @DPReef I just re read this months later and I noticed you said you couldn't fit the 25mm spacer without trimming. I do not know that this is true. I'm now running 20mm spacers on the front with the factory 22s and I've had no trouble. Just curious, am I missing something?

There are many All Terrain and other tires available if you go up in tire size from the stock 275/45/22 to 285/45/22 on the stock suspension, no spacers or lift rods with no rubbing. Many have went to the 285/45/22 with no issues on the Defender.

This is what I used for my setup. No regrets

Used these spacers 20. mm front, 25mm rear

https://www.bonoss.com/product/bonos...nder-l663-2019

Bull bar and winch

https://rhino4x4.com.au/product/bar-defender-20/
Winch Rhino 12,000 lb

Tires:

I tried the 285/45/22, but it was too tight on the front with more of the aux radiator forward.
These tires are a compromise as they do not offer the sidewall protection I would have liked.

Wrapped the sides to present brush scratches.

looks great. what are the specs on the wheels? 22" sure, but width and offset? Just trying to do the math to account for your issues with the 285s being too big. Question when you had those issues, did you have them with the spacers on? and if so, what were the width of the spacers you were running inf ront?

Hi, thank you for the info. I am looking to keep the 22'' stock rims and add larger a/t tires with a 1.5'' lift kit. I can add spacers if need be. I do not want any trimming to happen.

Can you please confirm you are 33x12.5?

thank you very much,

Hey! Do you have a defender S, SE, or X? So I have a P400 SE, came with the 20" wheels. Also have a 2 inch proud rhino lift on it. I really like the 22", and i was told all the defender's have the same bolt pattern and stuff that i can put the 22" on my SE. I bought 285/45/R22 ridge grapplers and the 22" inch tires, took them to 3 different tire shops to mount and balance, and before they even put the tires on the wheels, they tested the wheel fitment, and they all said they wont fit. Any ideas?
