Octa Owner here. Mine was collected from the dealer on 3/15. First one delivered in my area by all accounts.
2025 Octa in Charente Grey with 22" wheels and Burnt Sienna leather interior.
Comments as follows:
I had a similar configuration/build issue - I ordered gloss black 22" wheels but received the 22" diamond/gloss black wheels instead. As much as l ike them, I want the full gloss black wheel so my dealership is going to strip and powder coat them in full gloss black. I had my local detailer powder the black calipers to phosphor bronze, so they really pop against the gloss black wheel.
Interior is sublime BUT there are some ****ling issues that frustrate me - the front seats - not the best support or bolstering - I would have preferred the seat from the RRS SV but this seat seems like an afterthought and the thing that winds me up the most is the fact that the side bolster is creasing already and was creased the day I picked it up.
There is also some creasing in the rear seat.
No sunglasses holder - in a $170K car? This is not okay.
The interior door handles are now black plastic - they were chrome in my P400X - these handles should have been black chrome to match the upscale interior details.
No two dial option in the dash on this model - that drives me NUTS - I loved that option on my P400X. Just why???
Height - you NEED the sidesteps - this car feels way taller than the 1" lift its claimed to have. Im going to make those creased seats even worse by sliding over the bolster every time I clamber in.
Charente Grey - WAY better than I expected - its very unique and turns heads. I've had two Defenders in Carpathian and never thought I'd like another color better - but here we are.
The driving experience is out of this world - it feels SO much more capable than the regular Defender and that car already feels super capable. The 6D Dynamics are incredible and it just stays planted on the road no matter what you throw at it. Its an exhilarating experience knoing you could wipe the floor with most performance cars on the road in a 2.5 ton SUV.
Speed - I still have another 100 miles before the software restrictions lift but even in restricted mode its insanely fast - and you can feel the power is there ready to be unleashed when the restriction lifts.
Sound - I was nervous after reading many stories online that it sounded underwhelming but I really like the sound - its aggressive but not obnoxious like a G63.
Upgrades - it really needs nothing but I've already added Stek Dynoshield PPF and recolored the calipers to Phosphor Bronze. Next up - regular mud flaps (not those stupid tractor mudflaps), dashcam and sidesteps. I bought a gloss black spare wheel cover as I dont want any risk of the spare being scratched or scuffed.
MPG - not great but also I had low expectations form the start. I picked it up and it showed 9.7mpg and after some soft highway driving yesterday on cruise control most of the journey (mixed in with a little yobbish driving), I finished the day at 12.6mpg. I think it might creep up after time but I don't expect it to get to 15mpg at any point - the sound of the car make it almost impossible to keep your foot off the gas.
All said, despite the negative points above, its an utterly epic car and I have ZERO regrets. Is it worth the sticker price? Abso****inglutely.
Surprised there’s been no OCTA activity on the forum for the past two weeks. Where are all the new owners and driving impressions? Why did this thread just die?
I feel like the reason for this is because most OCTA owners aren’t Land Rover enthusiasts. They bought it for their wives in Beverly Hills to replace their ‘ageing’ G63, not to go off-roading (as Land Rover enthusiasts that use this forum often do)

To those that think we Octa owners are driving in Beverly Hill and are not enthusiasts........sorry to disappoint but we have the same affliction as many on the forum. Taking my time to drive and evaluate the new addition. It's a beast. Fast, quiet, handles beautifully. It feels like a RRS SC that can do anything. I'm watching Justin at Lucky8 carefully to see how he did his rock sliders and other protection.
This is on my 2nd trip to La Ventana on the sea of Cortez.
