For this Octa owners…have you used the GAPIId tool to do any activations and if so, what have you done?

Since the OCTA comes with just about everything standard, there aren't really any upgrades that can be activated. However, features like allowing both high beams and fog lights, Wi-Fi hotspot, global close etc. can be activated.

As CincyRovers said, the OCTA comes with pretty much everything out of the box. Mine already had Wi-Fi and hotspot already enabled and I think even global close was enabled and available for selection on the Pivi (it is now either way).

Ones you may wish to consider:

High beam with fog
Auto Stop/Start disable
Chauffeur Mode MultiCAN-665 (to adjust passenger seat position from display, helpful when a passenger gets out and the front passenger seat is left in disarray)
Enable both front microphones EUCD-126 Microphone
Beltminder MultiCAN-717 "minimum" and not completely off for shortened bong time. Some fully disable it but that could create a problem.
Remote tailgate release with fob MultiCAN‑744

I’m curious. What problem could fully disabling the beltminder cause?

Could you please share the settings for: 1) Chauffeur mode; and 2) Microphone enablement.

Oh I don't know, maybe no one realizes a seat belt is not buckled because there is no gong at all and then that passenger dies in a fiery crash?

I don't understand why people have a phobia of seat belts. They are there to keep you safe, and have proven to save lives, so why not just wear them? Sure, if you are wading or on a car boat there is definately reasons to have them off, but why don't you just ignore the dinging for a bit?

It's not a phobia of seatbelts in my case and likely others. The "minimum" setting vs a fully off setting works very well, one case example would be the vehicle is parked at a store and the passenger exits to run in to grab some groceries, the driver remains in the parked vehicle but takes their seatbelt off to retrieve a phone out of pocket or for comfort. This then fires off the seatbelt minder bong from which there is no recovery without a restart to my knowledge. However, if the bong is set for minimum it will only sound for a time (longer than you think) and will then silence itself.

What to change (GAP IIDTool – CCF)

1) Chauffeur Mode (MY24+ only)
  • Code:
    MultiCAN-665 ChaffeurMode
    Fitted.
  • Code:
    MultiCAN-853 TS Sec Seat Movement
Touch Screen Control of Secondary Seat Movement – Fitted.
2) Both front microphones (front only, not rear)
  • Code:
    EUCD-126 Microphone
    Two Microphones (Front Only).
(For reference, many cars ship as Microphone (Driver Only); the “all mics” option is Four Microphones (Two Front & Two Rear).
