Default OEM Roof ladder question

I had a ladder installed by my dealer as part of my purchase; its seems to rattle a bit. When locked and closed should you be able to pull out the bottom part towards you? It only seams to latch at the top.

Yes, only latches at one corner at the top.

Don’t worry though. After about 1000 use cycles of you climbing up and down, it will open and close much more symmetrically.

complete junk.

I haven't done it on mine yet but there's no reason you couldn't take some gasket strip material and put it on the backside of the ladder to push it out against the latch.
