Default Oil Change/Maintenance on a Leased Vehicle?

Aside from the vehicles I've owned, my Defender is my second leased vehicle. The previous was a BMW and the maintenance/oil change process was amazing. I'd drop my car off, all maintenance services were included/free, and they'd offer a courtesy vehicle or shuttle for drop off/pickup!

I don't drive the Defender too often, but I'm due for an oil change, so I called the local dealership. They quoted me $550+ for an oil change and asked if I wanted to include a $1,000+ maintenance service. I don't plan to keep my Defender after my 3 year lease is up, so thinking I should just do the oil change at a local shop for around $150 and skip the maintenances altogether as I'm not having any issues. Just wanted to get opinions as my time with this vehicle is limited and I don't want to pay an arm and a leg for no reason.

How many miles are you at? Check your passport to service in the owner's manual. If there isn't anything required at or around where your milage is, I'd just have the oil changed at an independent shop or just do it yourself.

If it's a lease I'd do what I was obligated to do and nothing more. That's one of the benefits of leasing no?

Drive it like you stole it.

An oil change is $66 in OE/ OEM supplies. Less for the dealer so they're charging $500 for 30 mins labor. Be sure to get loads of free coffee and free car wash when there.

it's like $250 at my dealer. $500 would be robbery. I pay to build a relationship on my non-lease defender that's under warranty.

It is amazing how different dealers charge different rates for an oil change. $550.00 + for an oil change is absolute robbery. Take it to an independent and make sure you keep your receipt just in case they say something when you turn in the car at the end of the lease.

Portland Dealer is 980 for the 20K mile service. Which I did about 3 years ago so surely it’s even increased since then?

Which is oil change, scan for codes, and pollen filters I believe. And a lovely hand wash car wash.

Really inflated pricing for the amount of work done.

The full service usually includes oil and filter, cabin air filter, tire rotation, alignment etc. and maybe 'fuel system cleaners' and other add ins. Often brake fluid too

So - it's a lot more than just an oil change. But debatable how much of that is needed. I did the cabin filter myself ($50) after 20m miles. Has dealer to the oil and check for any issues (none) for about $300. And didn't do anything else as not needed IMO. I can rotate tires myself if I want. And alignment seems like overkill.
