Oil Change Where to Buy Oil To JLR Specs
l remember when there were only two choices of engine oil.
Castrol GTX
Duckhams Hypergrade
Now there's dozens of choices, with stern warnings about using the wrong one.
l wonder what would happen to the Land Rover engine if you used Castrol GTX in it.
This was a 20/50 grade mineral oil that was recommended for just about every car in the 1980's
Things have moved on a lot since the "good old days" it seems.

But yes. The right stuff is readily available now. Shipped free to your door.
The OEM Castrol seems to be a mix of both the Liquimoly Special Tec and Top Tec varietals as it has both specs.
I've used the Special Tec is it seemed to be the more recent spec but it appears both specs are coincident.
Hard to better Amazon for prices and ease of delivery. Filters are also easily gotten online.
I used to love their adverts.

The Top Tec 6000 series Liqui Moly oil is the one that meets both specs.
Very confusing because the spec number of the OG oil standard has higher nunbers before and after the decimal. I had convinced mysf otherwise, too.
